english speaking forum

In school I were not very motivated to learn foreign languages in a good way, so my english is not the best. But now at university I see, how important it is, to be able to read and speak english liquidly.
I don't know, how important is english for you. Now my wish is to set up a little forum with general themes, where english is the only language allowed. So everybody who is inspirated can practice his english .

Is it possible?

i understand english very well, but self-writing and speaking is very hard for me so i prefer to say it in german:

idee wäre diskussionswürdig, aber vielmehr reitzte mich schon immer der Gedanke die komplette Community in mehreren Sprachen anzubieten. Da es mit meinem Englisch allerdings hapert könnte ich sowas nicht alleine "hinbekommen", schaffs ja nichtmal hier alle rechtschreibfehler von der Forenseite zu wischen, von daher vergessen wir das schnell wieder

aber schliessen tu ich den vorschlag mal noch nich, vllt kommt ja noch was vernünftiges darauf...

i think, the whole thing suxx, because only a few people wants to have it .. or only you?

Think about my objections and about to have a school-forum for pupils in 7th - 10th grade!
i know, taht english is important for school and job... but thats no reason to set up a dead forum, where nobody (or nearly nobody) writes in the threads ... just read the outside-the-planet AGBs!

Voraussetzungen:

* "wirkliches Interesse" und bestehendes Potential an der Forennutzung (tote Foren "stören" in der Ansicht)
* KEINE Illegalen oder anstössigen Inhalte
(kein Porn, keine Warez, Keine Filesharing-Austauschfragen... kurz: alles was gegen geltendes Deutsches Recht und ethnischen Werten verstösst
* keine Konkurrenzinhalte zum PP
* Zusage eines vernünftigen und fairen Umgangs mit der Forensoftware sowie den eigenen und den PP-Usern

How about joining an english forum or newsboard?
I believe, your english will get much better, when you´re
in contact with native speakers. Try to join a newsboard of
a british or american university...

I think the main idea is quite good. But I also fear that there ain't many people who want to discuss about normal stuff in english

some boards and forums from student communities...

Also hast schon recht soweit Skini, aber ich denke nich, dass das hier der richtige Ort is um englisch zu üben.
Wie, glaub ich, schonma erwähnt wär das da wohl besser und einfacher ein englisch- oder mehrsprachiges Board oder ähnliches zu benutzen.
Und bei etwas konkreteren Dingen eben ab ins Karriereforum damit.

Solang das nich in ewiges Gelaber ausartet und wirklich so gemacht wird, dass es was bringt, könnte man ja auch irgend nen Englischübungsthread dort eröffnen.
